Disney World with Our Grandchildren, Alyssa and
Kristin, June 2009
On our first day in Disney World, the Huelsbecks had been traveling for the last two days by
car from Wisconsin. The first thing they wanted to do was jump in the pool which was conveniently
located next to our building in Old Key West, June 21
The next day, June 22, we were off to the Magic Kingdom
bright and early. After supper we went back so Kristin could get Mickey's autograph in Toontown. On the way
we took the Monorail and four of us got to ride up front with the engineer.
We went to the front part of Epcot on June 23 and got our
Fast Pass for Soarin and then visited Nemo's adventure at the Living Seas. After Soarin and lunch, we
did most of the other rides and Kristin got more autographs.
On Wednesday, June 24, we went to Animal Kingdom. The safari
ride was great as always and then Alyssa, Tom, and Bob went on the Mount Everest roller coaster ride before
lunch. Before they went home the Huelsbecks went back to Epcot to finish up there.
The last day in the parks was June 25, when we went to the
Hollywood Studios. Of course we rode the new Toy Story ride and other favorites. Alyssa loves roller coasters
and the Tower of Terror.
The last day, June 26, was a restful day and we went to
Downtown Disney for a little recreational shopping.
